Over the past three years, my mother-in-law has had health problems once a year: a stroke or a shoulder fracture.
After the stroke my father-in-law helped me, last year, after the shoulder fracture, I nursed her for 2 months with two children screaming with boredom.
This year she broke the same shoulder, I told my husband that I have kids, and a month shines the beginning of the school year, so I can not be at the cottage, as last year.
Today the kids sat down to play a video game and I knocked over a glass of v**k while waiting for my mother-in-law to come home from the hospital, chatted with my mom and just didn't notice that my husband was calling me.
He ended up calling my son (kids 10 and 6), told me off for not answering. I told him that I was tired and chatting with my mom, and there was no need to yell at me.
Everyone's nerves are failing, I'm no exception either, I find myself waiting for another time in prison to care for my mother-in-law, who is either going to have a stroke or something will break in her.
Last year she forbade me to have guests over for the kids' birthday party because her shoulder was bandaged and she wasn't comfortable, and the fact that the grandkids were yelling out of boredom didn't interest her.
An argument came out that made my husband decide to "throw me out on the street." I don't work, but I'm not a slave either.
What would you do? Would you take care of your mother-in-law again?
