Pregnant women often develop gestational diabetes (it is temporary, as I understand it).
I had a glucose of 5.3 and at such a rate diagnosed, put on a diet and some people are told to buy glucose meters and keep a diary of indicators
My endocrinologist recommended just to repeat the glucose + re-insurance of glycated Hb.
All readings are normal. Apparently last time I just took too short a break
between testing and eating.
I didn't take a glucose tolerance test. I haven't found any reason to take it, and some people have a hard time with it. And some people get diabetes later in life, so you endure the test and get no guarantees.
P.S. I am not a doctor and you do not listen to me, but your doctor! This is purely my experience and my opinion. It can be detrimental to your health as we are all different
